　　Expressing genuine appreciation for the leadership of the Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon in convening this timely Consultation for Peace in the Middle East, and

　　Noting the declaration of the IIFWP Convocation 2002 on "Global Governance and the Role of Religion in Peace and Security" of September 22nd, 2002 recommending an Interreligious Council as a necessary mechanism for the renewal and strengthening of the United Nations that it have the capacity to fully address the root causes of conflict and violence and so fulfill its mission "to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war,” and

　　In keeping with the vision of the founding principles of the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace and affirming that:
　　在贊同與支持超宗派超國家聯合會成立宗旨之願景下，我們確定：

1. God created all humankind to be one family and relates to us as a Parent to his children; and that He is the true foundation of world peace, giving divine value to each human being, thus upholding true human dignity.
神創造全人類以建立一個大家庭，神是我們的父母，我們是祂的子女；神是世界和平的真基台，賜予每一個人神聖的價值，將人性的真尊嚴高舉。

2. Marriage and families, centered on the true love of God, are the building blocks of a harmonious society and peaceful world. World leaders should promote purity and character education among youth, and should govern and lead in ways consistent with the ideal of one world family.
以神的真愛為中心的婚姻和家庭，是和諧社會與和平世界的基石。世界領袖必須在青少年之間推動性純潔和人格教育，更必須根據世界一家的理想標準來治理和領導。

3. All religions should denounce intolerance and separation from one another, and collaborate for the sake of all people regardless of race, color, and creed; that religions invest together to generate universal, spiritual guidance and moral direction; that governments and the United Nations incorporate multi-religious institutions into the practice of governance and leadership;

4. Leaders from all professional fields recognize the reality of spiritual principles and the spiritual world, and their relevance to all human affairs;

5. "Living for the sake of others" is a universal basis for order, harmony and prosperity for all, and therefore leaders should model and teach this as the ultimately practical basis for establishing peace, harmony and security;

6. By transcending our religion, nationality, and race, centered on true love and by "loving our enemy" we can remove the barriers to peaceful unification of the world;

7. Rev. and Mrs. Moon’s vision of peace and unity expressed in the vision and work of the IIFWP provides needed guidance to bring about God’s peaceful world.

　　Therefore, we the undersigned from 40 nations and from all religions, nationalities, and ethnicities of the Middle East region respectfully resolve on this 2nd day of March 2003, together that:

　　We will pursue peace and prosperity through processes embodying mutual respect, appreciation, and affection, even where hatred and historical conflict have hitherto prevailed,

　　We will implement initiatives and projects that further the peace process and address critical issues by:

1. Establishing interreligious and international councils at the local, national and international levels;
在地區性、國家性和國際性的基準上建立超宗派超國家議會；

2. Developing local, national and international educational projects and programs to strengthen moral and spiritual leadership;
推展地區性、國家性和國際性的教育計劃與活動來強化道德和心靈領導力；

3. Developing service projects in the region with a special focus on peace education, youth and sustainability;
在一些地區推動服務活動，特別著重在和平教育、青少年教育及自制力教育；

4. Supporting an interreligious and international fact-finding tour to the region that will present its findings to IIFWP members and to relevant sections of the United Nations and its family of organizations; and

5. Further developing the proposal to establish an Interreligious Council at the United Nations as part of a comprehensive strategy for peace and security for all.
